Health and Social Care Workshops - Effective Support

Knowledge and understanding of acquired brain injury within many shared services, such as Education, Healthcare and Social Care Services is often very limited. Many professionals have had little experience of the subtle needs of children and young people with an acquired brain injury, due to the hidden nature of this disability.

For many children the quality of their ongoing support is imperative to their rehabilitation, and their special needs are often overlooked after discharge from hospital.

The Child Brain Injury Trust’s training on childhood acquired brain injury aims to fill this gap in knowledge. The workshops provide a no-nonsense, jargon free approach to childhood acquired brain injury, and explain strategies to help you support children and their families.
